In my career as a videographer I have had the opportunity to work with some very talented artists, but this young lady seems to be on the road to true stardom. Courtney Shilo is not only a powerful songstress, but also a skillful song-writer. These days writing is definitely becoming a lost art, but this fact is why we should all appreciate when someone like Courtney Shilo graces the R&B genre with her presence. I would also like to add that her sharp business acumen, and her willingness to invest in her own music career, are rare traits to find in any artist these days. Trust me Courtney Shilo is more than just an incredibly beautiful singer from Beaumont, Tx. She's the next up!
These days Courtney can be spotted performing at various live music venues in Houston, TX. Whether she is performing covers of some of her favorite artists such as Aaliyah & Beyonce, or she's showcasing her own original music. Courtney Shilo is going to do one thing no matter what, and that's move the crowd. Every time she hits the stage she has a knack for connecting with the listeners and getting them to sing along.
Courtney's talents are on full display all throughout her latest project "Do Not Disturb." While the EP only boasts a modest tracklist of 5 songs in total, I believe each one brings it's own flavor to the overall project. The central theme of the Do Not Disturb EP is actually not what listeners would expect from Courtney Shilo as she sings about topics such as wanting to know what love feels like. A simple yet deeply thoughtful take on what it means to desire someone. There's also the song "Silence" where she vocalizes the feeling we've all had when you talk to someone on a daily basis, and one day they just stop responding to you out of the blue.
