In the music industry everybody has a role to play. Most people aspire to be some type of performing artist; e.g., Singers, Rappers, or Instrumentalists. But today we're going to highlight a person who excels at one of the most fundamentally important roles in music creation. The one and only, K-$hellz is a certified audio engineer from Port Arthur, TX. The engineer is who every artist turns to when they need to get their music recorded and properly mixed to industry standards. K-$hellz has put in the work, and has made a huge name for himself as the man behind the music.
The Man, the myth, the legend... K-$hellz has been the driving force behind the sound of hundreds of artists. From Yung Pooda to Bun B to Teezo Touchdown to J Stone, trust me the list goes on and on for days. He's also collaborated with other engineers such as John Freyermuth and even Super-Producer Mike Dean. K-$hellz's resume includes being the head recording engineer at Beau Records, The Hit Factory, & Trill Wave Recording Studios. He's also worked sound for Praise Church, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, and Club Fuze at SXSW. Before becoming the go-to audio guy in the 409 area, K-$hellz made rap music himself under his own label 100% Certified Ent. His music is usually very melody heavy, and was good enough to land him features with several other serious artists including Beanie Sigel, Gp4/5, and Chad Butler Jr. Although eventually K-$hellz would go all in as a recording studio operator and decide to move his operation to Houston. His recording company Trill Wave, which he co-operated with singer/songwriter Karlay, has now become a staple in the Houston music scene.
For now, it's business as usual in the Trill Wave camp. Judging by their history, K-$hellz will continue on his upward trajectory. He'll be working with bigger artists, bigger productions, & bigger companies. K-$hellz deserves all of his flowers for the consistent grind in this music game, which we all know can be a fruitless endeavor if your head isn't on straight.
