Most artists are only good at one thing and that's making music. On the other hand, sometimes artists build up their skills to expand across multiple talents. Rosegold is someone who truly embodies the meaning of the word "artist." Not only is he a rapper, but he's also a top graphic designer, painter, promoter, photographer, director, & event planner. We dont have time to talk about everything Rosegold can do, but we can definitely talk about his music career.
Rosegold is from Beaumont, TX and he started a record label called Payper Stack Entertainment with rapper Southsid3 in 2004. He has featured on songs with many artists including Killa Kyleon, Delorean, Trilly Polk, GP of 45 and more. He is the President of DBCAD (a nonprofit organization that organizes art related events in the district by providing aid/funding to artists locally), and he has been featured on visual publications like Rap Economics, Jaye Biggs' Music Review Show, not to mention he was one of the very first artists interviewed by Team Rich TV. Rosegold is also 1/3 of the hip-hop collective 40Nina alongside female rapstress Keke D, and DJ Playamusic who tragically passed away in 2017. The group only ever released one album together titled "HHNTT: His, Hers, & The Truth." Rosegold's style of rap focuses on jam-packing detailed content into his rhyme scheme. He can best be compared to rapper Big Boi for reference.
Rosegold's latest project is a 12 track album titled "Shantell" (which is his wife's middle name). Despite Rosegold's aggressive rap style, the project leans towards more melodic instrumentals. His previous albums "Rishard" (which is Rosegold's middle name) & "Vincent" (which is DJ Playamusic's middle name) were also theme-based projects. Each project being a third of a full trilogy completed by Rosegold. So, if you're ever in doubt about who you need to link up with in regards to the Beaumont, TX music scene then trust me when I say, Rosegold is your guy!
